Thomas Jack
Thomas Jack is ready to reintroduce himself.
After a transformative five–year hiatus, the Australian producer is back with the best music of his career. Tight, sleek and sophisticated, these new productions evolve well beyond the tropical house sound Jack pioneered in the mid–2010s and mark a new era of the Thomas Jack story.
Thomas was discovered via Soundcloud while in his early 20s. His massive 2015 hit “Rivers” positioned him as key architect of the then exploding tropical house genre, a warm sunbeam of a sound that Jack forged alongside peers like Kygo, Sam Feldt and Matoma. Seven years later, “Rivers” remains a classic of the genre, with that song, subsequent smashes like “Rise Up” and the rest of Jack’s catalog altogether aggregating 31.6 million on demand streams in the U.S. alone.
During his time off Jack travelled through Costa Rica, hung out at his house in Los Angeles and visited his family back in Australia. Mostly though, he wrote new music, a task that was often challenging while on tour. But with time to really focus, Jack homed in on a new goal: learning to sing. His rich tenor has revolutionized the sound of his output. His voice is the sonic and spiritual core of recent releases such as “Forever Mine,” “Good With You,” “Sandman” and more. In addition to singing, Jack also plays the synths, piano, guitar and other instruments on each song. With tour plans in the works, the next time he hits the road, it will be as the frontman and instrumentalist of his own live electronic outfit.
